Aboutこのお部屋についてThe historic tatami-mat room is located in the original structure built in 1928, which are designated as registered tangible cultural properties. Riverside location with stunning view of willow lined street.
This room is spacious with fragrant tatami mats, classic sliding latticed screens, a wide work desk next to large view windows, and supremely fluffy futons. The room is also equipped with a coffee and tea station with a bar fridge and kettle, selected hand crafted Japanese pottery and washroom with high-tech toilet.もっとも城崎らしい景観を楽しめるのが、登録有形文化財に指定されている本館客室（Historic Rooms）です。柳並木に面し、川沿いの風情ある眺めが楽しめます。

Tourou 02美濃和紙ランプTourou is well-known as the traditional lanterns made of stone that line both sides of the paths leading to the shrines and temples. This lamp has a large lampshade in the upper section. This Tourou is lighting made with Japanese washi paper resembling the shape of the stone lantern. Designed by the product designer Shigeyuki Hasegawa, the lamp combines the distinct design of Japanese paper and the traditional lantern production method of the Gifu region for its representation of Tourou.美しい美濃和紙と、繊細で上品な岐阜提灯の技術を掛け合わせたランプ。火を灯す火袋とそれを支える支柱で構成された石灯篭をイメージした和紙の照明です。デザインはプロダクトデザイナーの長谷川滋之氏。1300年以上に渡り紙漉きの技術が伝わる岐阜県美濃市では、原料の精製に始まり、紙漉き、天日干しまで、多くの手間と時間をかけて手漉きの和紙が作られています。軽量で小さく畳むことができるという見事な機能性を備えた行燈は、日本独自の工芸品の代表格です。

Inshu Nakai Kiln因州・中井窯の器Since its opening in 1945 in Tottori, Nakai Kiln is known for modern ceramics with a vivid tricolor —green, black and white—, glaze as their trademark. The studio has continued making modern ceramics under the supervision of Shoya Yoshida, the ”father” of the ”Tottori Mingei” movement, and later on the world renowned industrial designer, Sori Yanagi. Their work which express beauty of tradition as well as modern sensitivity.1945（昭和20）年に築窯された中井窯は、黒釉、緑釉、白釉を主とした３色の染め分けられたデザインが特徴の鳥取県郷土工芸品です。民藝運動の主唱者・柳宗悦や吉田璋也（民藝プロデューサー）などから指導を受け、モダンで使いやすい「用の美」を追求した器を現在も生み出しつづけています。

Wegner’s unique design approach and insightful craftsmanship.1950年に発表されたハンス J. ウェグナーのCH23チェア。ウェグナーがカール・ハンセン＆サンにデザインした最初の椅子コレクションの一つです。クラフトマンシップが映える美しい埋め木、曲げ木技術を応用した背もたれ、ダブルで張られた美しいペーパーコード、そして、この椅子に安定性を与えている後脚のデザイン。 伝統的な椅子の形でありながら、ウェグナーらしさを随所に感じらる素晴らしい椅子です。
